Why Cocoa Beach Needs Investment in Infrastructure
Cocoa Beach is a popular destination that’s drawing more and more people every year. But with this growth comes a significant challenge—our infrastructure is struggling to keep up. The county spends millions of dollars every year advertising our beautiful city up and down the coast, yet very little is being invested in the essential services that support this influx of people.
When I talk about infrastructure, I’m referring to the systems that keep Cocoa Beach running smoothly: sewage systems, police services, fire departments, and medical facilities. These are the foundational elements of any thriving community, and right now, they’re in need of serious attention.
It’s not just about handling the needs of residents—our infrastructure must also support the millions of tourists who visit each year. Emergencies happen, people need care, and we need to ensure that our systems are equipped to handle it all. Without these investments, we risk compromising the safety and well-being of everyone in Cocoa Beach.
As your City Commissioner, I’m committed to making infrastructure a priority. It’s time to shift the focus from tourism promotion to taking care of our community’s real needs. With your support, we can make the necessary improvements to ensure that Cocoa Beach remains a safe and vibrant place for both residents and visitors.
Thank you for your continued trust in me, and let’s work together to build a better future for Cocoa Beach.
